The video posted below shows in detail how TripAdvisor runs it’s business, and ruins yours.
TripAdvisor allows ANYONE to hijack ANY Business Listing in 60 sec. TripAdvisor doesn’t validate anything or anyone.
All this can be done without a valid email or TripAdvisor account… Yes that is correct, TripAdvisor just lets ANYONE start changing anything on someone else’s Business Listing .. This is no different as Facebook or Twitter allowing anyone to log into someone else’s account and start making changes.
Within 60 sec. and completely unvalidated you can change all the Business details, such as address, phone # , Fax, website, number of rooms, room prices etc..etc.. You can also visit the Business Owners Forum, a Private Forum meant for business listing owners only!!
Word has reached us, that by Sunday, certain groups will have seeded 1000 business listings.
TripAdvisor should be sued for easily allowing ANYONE to cause damage to your Business, it is up to TripAdvisor to Safeguard personal and any info it posts on their website. This is definitely not the case, and we have numerous Videos and screenshots dating back 5 months that can show that TripAdvisor is offering ZERO protection for Business Owners.
If TripAdvisor cannot safeguard Business Listings on their site, then the business owner should have the right to remove their listing..
On Monday we will be sending out Emails to all the Business owners that accounts have been compromised, and we are going to look into sueing TripAdvisor.
If you are, or you know any Lawyers wanting to help and support us, please CONTACT us.
One last thing
Ask yourself, HOW would you feel if your business was compromised on TripAdvisor by a complete stranger, or even the competition. Your Business is your livelihood, and TripAdvisor allows ANYONE to potentially ruin it you…
