We are an Italian team of Hotel Manager’s and Owners that want to resolve the largest problem of our industry: TripAdvisor.
We love reviews but we can not accept reviews that are libelous and false!
Since 2007 we have been trying to resolve this problem with the cooperation of Italian’s Government, with the most popular Association Federalberghi, without results.

We have written to Tourism Minister Michela Brambilla but, at moment, TripAdvisor seems untouchable.

Talking about it on our blog, some colleagues proposed a good initiative that we like to share with you.

You know that Expedia is the “mother” of TripAdvisor. The primary activity of TripAdvisor is the ranking on Google, the TripAdvisor Web site is the first step, where guests can choose the Hotel with a particular amenity with Expedia.com , Hotels.com and Venere.com.

We must not forget that Expedia’s value comes from the number of affiliates and from numerous commissions.

We have all decided to take the following measures : “Remove ourselves from Expedia and move to Booking. Com!”. The idea is very simple and effective.

All of this is the result of continious libelous, malicious and false attacks our establishments recieve.

The Hotels are the real value of Expedia, and if they refuse to listen us, we will proceed and terminate our contract with them. The estimated damage for Expedia from this kind of measure, only from our supporters is around 1.000.000 Euro.

Hopefully word will spread about our action, and others will follow our path. If Expedia refuses to listen to our cries, maybe they will listen our silence.

We hope to have more and more Hotels that follow our suggestion, maybe this can be the start of a new online revolution.
