TripAdvisor spokesperson Emma O’Boil said:
“Property owners are welcome to encourage their guests to submit user reviews on TripAdvisor upon their return home, but is strictly against our guidelines for businesses to offer incentives, discounts, upgrades or special treatment on current or future stays in exchange for reviews.

“Should travellers come across such a situation, we encourage them to contact TripAdvisor as soon as possible to report it.” { don’t waste your time on this, we have reported 100’s of fakes, and they do nothing about it }

Any hotel that is caught could face harsh penalties. { see how they threaten you?! }

TripAdvisor has a zero tolerance policy on fraudulent reviews and uses numerous methods to verify the legitimacy of the content on their site. { yeahhh, we know what you are thinking… }

O’Boil said the vast majority of TripAdvisor’s hotels reviews are legitimate. { too much medication or a blatant liar! }

 Any hotel that attempts to alter their reviews is putting its reputation at serious risk and will face stiff penalties if caught, she added. { and yet another threat.. }

As well as contravening TripAdvisor’s code of conduct, faking reviews is illegal in Britain, Ireland, France, Italy and Germany. …  code of conduct?.. haha.. the same as “Liars Code of Conduct”?

OK, as TripeAdvisor is quick to state, it is illegal in most Euro Zone countries to fake reviews.. What they forget to tell you, is that in those same countries, by law you have the right to have inaccurate or misleading personal information removed.
You also have a right to withdraw your consent to having your personal data displayed. The same law states that information could count as personal data even if it does not include a person’s name, such as the name of your property or business.
TripeAdvisor is registered in these European Union Countries, and should abide to these laws.. But of course TripeAdvisor is too good for European Laws. However, this will soon come to an end, it takes just ONE Court Ruling, and TripeAdvisor will be forced to change the way they conduct their business..
In the meantime, let’s all benefit from posting lies and libellous reviews about the competition, and keep blackmailing property and restaurant owners while it is still possible.

 Here you go TripeAdvisor, someone has just broken the law by posting Fake Reviews, We are hereby telling you that 10 reviews posted here are FAKE.. It’s pretty clear which ones are Fake..

Please remove them.. Otherwise you are breaking the European Union law and our code of conduct
