Luxor Casino Las Vegas one of thousand Business listings to get hijacked and Fake Reviews posted

We have been contacted by a large  “Reputation Management Leader” based in the USA asking if we can supply them with any proven details about fake reviews that have been posted on Tripadvisor. It goes without saying that it is our civil duty to help in any way we can. A list 100’s of  Fake reviews have been put together, including  screenshots. We also added screenshots and videos of  the hijacking of the Business Listings of the 10 most prominent Hotels in the USA.

We are looking forward to see where this goes.

A really funny quote taken from TripeAdvisor :

TripAdvisor  uses numerous methods to verify the legitimacy of the content on their site.

Hey, the good news is, that at least they have a sense of humor.. The bad news is, their “numerous methods to verify the legitimacy of the content on their site” really does not work.

TWO Luxor Casino Fakes were recently submitted by a single person.. They were BOTH approved and posted.. now that is a 100% success rate for this person, and a ZERO % success rate for the numerous methods to verify the legitimacy of the content on their site”

Yes we know you are thinking this is just TWO reviews out of millions, and 2 out of 2 could have been lucky “pot shots”. However so far we have a list in front of us with the details of 618 FAKE Reviews of which ( so far ) 540 have been “Verified”  and posted. We have no doubt a few more will be posted, however worst case scenario is that out of the 618 Fakes, 78 never made it past thenumerous methods to verify the legitimacy of the content on their site”  This however means that give or take 88% of all fakes manage to slip past the numerous methods to verify the legitimacy of the content on their site”.. Good for us and everyone else that makes good money by posting fake reviews on TripeAdvisor.

Two out of Two Fakes posted on TripAdvisor

When a person can easily earn $12-$15 for a FAKE Review posted on TripeAdvisor then a  88%  success rate is fantastic.

Now, how about hijacking a Business listing from the competition, or just for the fun of it.. Respond rudely to your reviews in the form of a “Management’s Response”, change details about the establishment, etc..etc.

Hijacking someone’s business listing and causing potential havoc has a 100% success rating, can be done by anyone, and can be done within 60 sec.

The sad thing about being able to hijack someone else’s business listing is a terrible thing, but what is even worse, is that TripAdvisor KNOWS it’s being done, they KNOW how it’s being done, they KNOW the damage that can be done.. Yet they just sit back do NOTHING to stop this from being possible.

Message to Luxor Casino Las Vegas

After the numerous emails we exchanged a few weeks ago, and 5 weeks after sending screenshots to TripeAdvisor of  your and 9 other hotels Business Listings that had been hijacked, TripAdvisor has done NOTHING to safeguard your Business Listing. Three days ago for a SECOND time your business listing  was hijacked.
TripAdvisor does not care at all about your or any other business listing that they put on their site without your consent.
